Samuel Andrews

As a data scientist working on visualization, projection, statistical analysis, and machine learning, and equipped with working knowledge of database systems, Sam applies his knowledge of R, Python, Tableau, and JMP to solve business challenges.
While collaborating with colleagues, he worked on data challenges and and related design contest presented through Kaggle during Midwest Undergraduate Data Analytics Competition (MUDAC).
Growing up in Savage, MN, Samuel stayed focused on his education, allowing him to graduate from Burnsville High with an Associates of Arts in Liberal Education from Normandale Community College in 2018. Currently, his academic work continues into senior year at Winona State University where he’s working towards his bachelor’s degree in data science.
In his spare time, Samuel partakes in communal gaming, baking, and working with obsolete technologies. He strives to apply his knowledge and skills and help enterprises to solve their business challenges.
Mehrdad’s Bio
Mehrdad specializes in business process improvement and business continuity, cybersecurity, and data analytics. Before launching PowerData Solutions Inc., Mehrdad spent close to 20 years helping both private sectors and government agencies to improve and streamline their operations. Between 2002 and 2019 he built the IT infrastructure of the Minnesota Sex Offender Program, restructured business operation of numerous Minnesota State government agencies, improved Minnesota state government’s cybersecurity posture, and helped Mayo Clinic to better protect patient data by strengthening its data platform and by implementing a secured managed file transfer technology. During the same period, he restored millions of dollars for both government agencies and private sectors. He is a certified SCORE mentor where he helps aspiring entrepreneurs to realize and reach their potentials.

To avoid political and religious persecution, Mehrdad fled an autocratic/theocratic regime in late 80s and after seeking and receiving political asylum he lived in Toronto for 10 years where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in computer science. In 1998, he moved to Rochester, where he met his wife, graduated with a Master’s degree in business administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and they live with their two teenagers.
As a founder of PowerData Solutions Inc., Mehrdad is very eager to help local small businesses recover from current pandemic crisis so to restart the economic engine of Minnesota.
